AMPHITRITE has been created from a beautiful mauve-brown satin fabric, which has been deconstructed & reimagined from a vintage garment. It has an incredible soft sheen & feel. The fabric has been adorned with cluster of smoky quartz crystal beads at each end, individually chosen & sewn by hand. The ammonite has also been finished with smoky quartz.
Ammonites are powerful symbols of evolution, cycles, and ancient earth wisdom. The Ammonites in this collection date back to the Cretaceous Period, around 120 million years ago, and were found in the jungles of Mahajanga on the North West Coast of Madagascar.
Each ancient fossil reveals its internal chambers in striking detail, natural spirals and crystallised pockets, and some even have inclusions of Pyrite. These Ammonites have been ethically sourced and then halved and polished in The Cotwolds, UK.
